tankhinhow
I have the same problem - switching to production doesn't help either. Keith
mattwho
Did you email USPS and ask to be moved to the production server?
tankhinhow
Yes, I did that this morning, it will take a couple of days for them to move me to production server, will report back here when that happens. Keith
tankhinhow
I am pleased to report that I received an email from USPS shipping api dept today saying that my account has been moved to the production server, and right away the USPS shipping module works like a charm. So, I will urge everyone here who is having problems with the USPS module in "testing" to stop wasting your time and give USPS a call and tell them you are using OScommerce and they will move you to production server right away. vyoufinder
I did that - called them and told them I was done ith testing, and asked them to allow access to the production server, but they told me they will not until they see some test results having hit their server. I don't know what to do. Help anyone? Quote "Your focus is your reality"

vyoufinder
Ya - told them I was using osCommerce, also have an account and would not do it. The guy I talked to on the phone said there were no tests showing on his end, and therefore he could not....ideas? Solaron
I called and asked USPS to put me on the production server and they said it would take 3-4 business day but it only took about an hour. But, I have packages of different weights and when estimating, the rate says up to 15lbs then 27 lbs increments. Is there a way to get USPS module to change values by each pound? Let me know Thanks, Peter
Solaron
I figured it out: I had the shipping tare weight at 10lbs under the configuration section (shipping/packaging) USPS work pretty good except the parcel post seems higher than it should. vyoufinder
I wonder if anyone knows what I am doing wrong - USPS said that they had not seen any test hits on their server and that is why they could not switch me to the production server...do I need to use the "test" mode via the control panel first or something? What do I need to do so they can see some test hits? Do I need to be using SSL on my installation? Anyone have an idea for me? I am clueless at this point. vyoufinder
..anyone? anyone? I don't know what to do. Other people have been successful with USPS, and I don't know why I am being refused by USPS. Quote "Your focus is your reality"
aravind
Hey i had the same problem and I just called the USPS. I told em I was using oscommerce and I it wanted to get switched to production server. She put me on hold and verified my name and said I will receive an email in 15-20 minutes and you will be good to go. I got the email before I hung the phone and when I refreshed my page the USPS module worked fine. aravind Quote http://aravind.name
vyoufinder
Apparently it depends on who you talk to there and what kind of mood they are in. I just called and told them exactly what I told them the first time, and got switched over. No problem, no mention of any "test results," nothing. The first time I called, the guy had in his tone of voice uncooperation, and was all too happy to tell me that he could not do it because he had not seen any test results. This time when I called the woman was very helpful, and all she did was verify my name. So my advice to anyone who is having problems with them and has already read and followed the easy instructions of setting up your account and also put the information into their control panel is to just call back and talk to someone else. P.S. What a jerk that first guy was. I wasted more than a week because of him and his attitude. Quote "Your focus is your reality"
Guest
I think I have a fix to everyone's problem. In /includes/modules/shipping/usps.php FIND: if ($order->delivery['country']['id'] == STORE_COUNTRY) { CHANGE TO: if ($order->delivery['country']['id'] == SHIPPING_ORIGIN_COUNTRY) { Solved my problem! Hope it helps.
