Guest
Ok, I added the paypal ipn module, boy that thing is big. Well basically, does anyone know how to bypass a payment if the item is free? I only can accept paypal payments, so paypal is really the only module I have installed. How do I give away a product (software download) from my store though, if it is free? As of right now, I get directed to paypal even though it is free, then they say "you must enter an amount higher than zero." Hm.... Anyone know how to do this? emanresu
We have a mix of free downloads and pay-for software on the same site. When we set it up the main problem was the shipping or any other handling charge. What we did was to seeting shipping charge to activate over 0.01 and the product price was set to zero. We also added the check/money order option and hacked the text to call it a Free Downlaods option so people could checkout without paying. Most people use the Free Downloads option but if they go through Worldpay or Paypal there's no issue as both payment systems recognise a zero price and pass the order through.
