Table Rate not Working For Weight Shipping

Recommended Posts

I have my table rate set up as such...

5:9.00,10:12.00,15:15.00,20:25.00

But, when I make a purchase equaling 9 lbs, it charges $15

Also, when I have no weight on an item, it charges $9.00

Here are a few more tries...

3 lbs worth = $12

6 lbs / $12

18 lbs / $0

If I'm not mistaken, the above chart that I've created should mean

0 - 4.99lbs = $9

5 - 9.99 = $12

10 - 14.99 = $15 ....

As long as I I'm using the table correctly, what else could be the problem?

I really couldn't say. I have never used weights. I use Table Rates with price. I was just trying to suggest some things to look at. I would imagine that you would have to add weights to your products in order for the Table Rate to function with the weights.

Maybe some else here would know better. I'm no pro.

I believe you DO need to have the weights specified in your product info in order to have it affect the shipping calculation.

Also, it looks like your weights might be affected by the package tare weight, which is defined in the Admin->Store Configuration -> Packaging section. It's set by default at a weight of 3. If your packaging is lighter than that, or if you've incorporated the packaging weight into your product weight, then you may want to change it.
