jsl
Hi, I have installed header_tags controller, and everything works great with this most excellent contribution up until the point where the customer checks out and gets to the "Finished" page. There, the customer is given the option to "notify me of updates to the products I have selected below" and hits the "Continue" button and the trouble begins. For some reason the URL is lost and the customer gets a "Page Not Found" error. I have tested this with a new install of OsCommerce and everything works fine up until I install Header_Tags. This mod does exactly what we want it to do so I really don't want to live without it, and I've been through the configuration.php file and have tested every combination of path declaration I could think of over a weeks worth of time and I have just run out of ideas. The URL below is what I have upon check_out_conformation. Then, hitting the Continue button sends me to the wrong URL (second string below) when under a fresh install of OsCommerce it would normally take me back to the home page of the cart. https://MySecureServer/Domain/DiscountGolfC...c628be3b108f687 https://MySecureServer/DiscountGolfClubs/in...c628be3b108f687 Any ideas on what may cause this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim
mjpcomp
Looks like it might have something to do with your Search friendly URLs (do you have that enabled)? If you don't, do you have something else re-writing the URLs?
jsl
I did have them enabled but switched them off to test. Still does the same thing. Nothing rewriting url's that I'm aware of.... It's strange because I have put up three separate carts that all work flawlessly, but after installing header_tags all three of the carts do the same thing. mjpcomp
When you view the source, look at the lines related to the header. Is anything there not correct? Nothing should be affecting the link at all. Can you try this: Remove the header tags controller related lines from the success page (I believe it's checkout_success.php)... Does the problem go away? Have you made sure that all your files were uploaded in ASCII mode to the server? If you recently made this addition, and all three exhibit the same problem, it could be related to how the modified files were uploaded back to the server(s). jsl
I replaced the header_tags code in checkout_success.php with the original file, first thing. I don't believe it's related to an upload problem as the file I'm using and the original file from the distro are the same byte-wise, and returns nothing under the diff command. It's a stumper. Everything works fine up until this last point when for some reason I think the HTTP_VARS is getting confused. I've double checked configuration.php which does not change under the install of Header_Tags... I don't know.

mjpcomp
atlantis: You forgot to edit the files in the includes/lang directory.. Look at what was copied, and edit that file. jsl: Which version of osC are you using? Any other mods/contribs added? Can you setup a fresh install with the header-tags controller and see if the same thing happens?
coves
This is a great contribution! I am having the same problem, all 'products' page titles start with osCommerce where I made the following changes in the /catalog directory From <title><?php echo TITLE; ?></title> To: <?php // BOF: WebMakers.com Changed: Header Tag Controller v1.0 // Replaced by header_tags.php if ( file_exists(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'header_tags.php') ) { require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'header_tags.php'); } else { ?> <title><?php echo TITLE ?></title> <?php } // EOF: WebMakers.com Changed: Header Tag Controller v1.0 ?> How I edit pages that do not have products on them? Thanks, any help on this would be apprieciated, I am a newbie here.....

I did setup a fresh install and everything worked fine up until I pluged it into my SSL. There lies the problem. Sorry again for the false alarm. mjpcomp
coves: You didn't edit the includes/language files... jsl: Well, at least the problem was discovered before it drove you mad (I've been setting up an osCommerce package that has about 35 mods in it right now, and debugging that isn't fun).
