a.niedermann
hi there! I have a very strange problem. I've installed WYSIWYG HTMLArea 1.7 on my offline environment. Now, I transfered my offline Oscommerce to my server. Everything works well except the WYSIWYG HTMLArea 1.7. I can't define my mainpage and the products page: PROBLEM: the define_mainpage.php should load the data from the mainpage.php. But unfortunately the define_mainpage can not pick out the data which were in the mainpage.php same problem in product page! should have some text in! can anyone help me please?? regards, Andreas
a.niedermann
addition: when I disable the HTMLArea in the admin, then everything works well, so maybe some hidden configurations in the WYSIWYG HTMLArea code?

241
This unfortunately is a known issue with the WYSIWYG HTMLArea 1.7 your data will be there in the database and will show on the catalog side however the WYSIWYG HTMLArea 1.7 does not repopulate itself if you go for an edit or a preview and back to edit. There will be a prepare statement missing in the codes. Edited July 14, 2004 by 241 Quote No longer giving free advice. Please place deposit in meter slot provided. ZyPhiX
Well it's working again! :D I thought, well lets turn off my firewall.... and yes it's working :o So that should solve the problem, just turn off your firewall if you need to edit things. Yes, if you are using a firewall like ZA (or many popup blockers) the WYSIWYG editors won't work properly, if at all. On occasion I have even tried playing with the ZA settings with no luck and finally had to turn off popup blocking altogether.
