AuthorizeNet Error

OK, I had AuthorizeNet working beautifully for months, no issues whatsoever. Now I go through the entire purchasing process, and receive the following error on the "Payment Information" page:

 

In red, across the top, it says:

Please select a payment method for your order.

 

Well, I did, and it keeps giving me this error, regardless of what I do.

 

Anyone have any ideas where to look to see what is causing this error?

I have exactly the same problem - but with a bank payment module - it worked okay at first, but now behaves as if I never selected the option and gives me the above message in a red bar just below the header bar. I searched the obvious files for this string to see what error creates it, but to no avail. Can anyone help please? Even if you can tell me what error is causing this, so I can trace it back.
