The joys of copy and paste. :) I still couldn't find wtf I typed wrong, but it works now. I still don't have this admin password protected. I haven't looked to see if there was a way to fix that yet. There better be.

It looks identical to what you gave me, since I just copied and pasted.

you are still showing the wrong file in catalog/includes/configure.php this is still the admin configure.php dated 03/01/2004 the admin/includes/configure.php is correct and dated 03/02/2004 so either it is just me or your configure.php file for catalog is not getting written to

try renaming the file configure_1.php then upload your new configure.php file

lost my posting from yesterday when the board broke

I will start again

connect to the server using an ftp program.

locate the file catalog/includes/configure.php and rename it to configure_1.php

Next take your new catalog/includes/configure.php file the one you created using dreamwever and the config information that I posted earlier and upload this file.

the dates are in your admin viewed using file manager

I think I've got it fixed. I downloaded fresh configure.php files, and updated my information into them, and uploaded them. I have a chmod to fix on /catalog/includes/configure.php, but I think I've got it.

My fault sorry missed the '' on this in admin/includes/configure.php

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/artofan/oscommerce/catalog/);

should be

define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/artofan/oscommerce/catalog/');

just replace that line

that almost worked worked ...

you also forgot the ' ' for the DIR FS ADMIN .

now there's one small glitch

the links work and all ..but in the admin menu this appears on the top :

>('STORE_SESSIONS', ''); ?>>

Error: Catalog images directory does not exist: /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/artofan/oscommerce/catalog/images/

check it out for yourself

i managed to fix the images error ..apparently my document root is this one :

DOCUMENT_ROOT /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/fotofan.ro/httpdocs

do i need to fix this everywhere ?

that is not the document root supplied earlier, so yes you will need to change all instances of it
