Guest
I need to validate my customers email, i.e make sure that its valid. What is the best way to accomplish this on a win32 platform? I have both a MS1 and a MS2 store running on two separate Windows 2000 Servers. When I turn on "validate email throught DNS" the MS1 store is returning " function checkdnsrr() does not exist" but it seems to work OK for the MS2 store, I think (?). According to the PHP-docs, checkdnsrr() is not implemented for the win32 platform. Why does it seem to work for MS2? All I want is to validate my customers email. I have PHP 4.3.4 for both stores. How do you guys do? Any ideas? /Fred
Christian Lescuyer
A local function is defined in includes/functions/compatibility.php when checkdnsrr() does not exist. It calls the system nslookup command. Christian Lescuyer
