If somebody vist my website, he/she select prefered language and prefered currency in the index file. Then, he/she could enter the oscommerce store.

Sounds like a challenge...

 

What would the languages and currencies be?

 

Would you require an admin section so you could define what options are available to the customer at the index page? (they would view the languages you have defined in the admin section and make their selection)

 

What if the user tries to manually enter the path to /default.php - would you there be a feature whereby the logic detects no language has been selected and returns the customer to the index page; also another option could be to have your default language selected if the user has not entered one.

you have choices of three languages and currencies in stock oscommerce via the admin and you can add additonal languages and currencies in the admin also. You would have to create the language files based on the three language directories that already exist.
