Guest Posted August 8, 2003 Share Posted August 8, 2003 Did the host change the ownership of the files or the user as whom apache runs? 644 is not correct under some situations. If you didn't change anything, I would just wait until the host is finished working on things. Until then, you might have to undo any change that you might make. Guest Posted August 8, 2003 Share Posted August 8, 2003 i don't really know exactly what he did but he said he had recompiled apache several times and tried a couple of different versions. when I changed the permissions so that no-one had write access the error was still coming up. Guest Posted August 8, 2003 Share Posted August 8, 2003 oh and for some wacky reason the configure.php permissions error is coming up EVEN THOUGH the permissions are set correctly. does anybody have a clue on this?
