♥JcMagpie 1,693 Posted March 24, 2020 JcM Index Banner carousel Animated V1.0 This is an Index add-on that lets you place a carousel banner on the index page of your site which can be animated if required. It will show up to 8 banners. It allow start and finish dates to be set for the banners. This can only be done for the last 7 as the first must always be active for carousel to run. Banner will only show when start date is reached and will turn off on end date. The date must be entered in correct format. Simply copy over all files install and turn on like any other add-on. The overlay text for each banner and images can be set in the language file. You can also select which pages it is to be shown on. The animation is set by the header tags add-on which must be installed once only. It’s a bit complicated to explain but if you play with it you will figure it out. Each banner can have its own animation as can the 2 text groups on each banner. You can also use the animated class’s on any other add-on if you wish by simply adding the required class. That’s it enjoy. It has only been tested on Phoenix 1.0.5.4 only. Can be seen working on this custom test site 1 Mac2256 reacted to this

dculley 16 Posted May 15, 2020 HI @JcMagpie; I'm running on Pheonix 1.0.6.0 and PHP 7.2 Just down loaded JCM Index Banner Carousel Animated V1.0. Uploaded all the files. Every thing seems to have gone correctly. I only found 1 file to turn on: admin -> modules -> header_tags -> JCM animated class. So I install it. but I can find where to go to start building the Banners. It is not showing up under any tabs in admin. Need help please.

dculley 16 Posted May 15, 2020 Okay I see where you have to manually put the images names in the language fields. But I seem to have another issue. When I click on the PHP to show errors the image goes to normal size. and I have 2 errors/warnings. I did a clean install of v1.0.6.0 and i restored my data files. (to many items to key back in). When I turn the php show errors off. The image shrinks as shown above in a previous post. I have emailed 1.0.6.0 but no one is able to help. The errors are. Warning: Use of undefined constant MODULE_BOXES_CATEGORIES_MAX_LEVEL - assumed 'MODULE_BOXES_CATEGORIES_MAX_LEVEL' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /includes/modules/boxes/bm_categories.php on line 36 Warning: Use of undefined constant MODULE_CONTENT_HEADER_MESSAGESTACK_CONTENT_WIDTH - assumed 'MODULE_CONTENT_HEADER_MESSAGESTACK_CONTENT_WIDTH' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in /includes/modules/content/header/cm_header_messagestack.php on line 24 They only poped up after I reinstall my data files. System to seem to be running until now.

dculley 16 Posted May 16, 2020 @hungryfrank I added 4 images and I get this - all looking great. After the 4th image shows it goes to the other. image5 thru 8. Here is the file if you want to look at, and make sure I worked it correctly. cm_i_index_banner2.php I'm not seeing where the "Module-------Image5 thru 8 is coming form. I blocked out the lines not needed. Then I went to adim -> Module -> Content -> jcm index carousel banner and changed the end time on 5 thu 8 to 2019. I hope all this was right. It stopped the Module content image from showing. You have been a big help and I hope that I am moving in the right direction with this app. Thanks

dculley 16 Posted May 20, 2020 I've hit another problem. I want to remove the banner text for showing up. I went in and committed out all the text lines in the file. Thought that would do it. But still missing something. What do I need to do??
dculley 16 Posted May 21, 2020 fixed it - at least it looks like I did.
hungryfrank 62 Posted May 22, 2020 (edited) excellent. any code that produces the desired result is fixed and working. the constants are to be defined at a different part of the shop. usually either in the language files or in the configuration table. they can be defined as ' ' to produce blank. THIS_CONSTANT_HAS_TO_BE_DEFINED define('THIS_CONSTANT_HAS_TO_BE_DEFINED',' '); Edited May 22, 2020 by hungryfrank you can cut up to 4 pages of your checkout by using my three add_ons login create account in one page Express checkout login pop up modal
dculley 16 Posted December 12, 2020 Hi I had phoenix 1.0.6 but I had so many errors with programs I decided to stop and wait and do a clean install. I waited for 1.0.7.11. So I have done a new/fresh install. Now I'm trying once again to rebuild my site. The App on the OSC site is an old one for JcM index Banner carousel Animated V1.0 for Phoenix 1.0.5.4. last update 9 mths ago. Is there an update version 1.0.7.11? If there is can someone update the app for Phoenix? I would like to reinstall it. Thanks
René H4 110 Posted December 12, 2020 (edited) I am not sure if it's the same, but the advert manager in Phoenix will do the same in combination with the Slider (which is a suppoters code). I am afraid that JCM codes will not be updated. Edited December 12, 2020 by René H4
ArtcoInc 380 Posted December 12, 2020 @dculley JCM passed away a few months ago. So, as @René H4 mentioned, he will not be updating his code. And, not speaking ill of the dead, his code was often not considered 'up to standards'. If there is an alternative, such as the one @René H4 suggested, I would recommend using that. Stay Safe! dculley 16 Posted December 12, 2020 @René H4 & @malcolm Thanks for getting back to me. I'm very sorry to hear that we have lost JCM. JcM was with Osc for a long time. Best wishes Happy Holidays to all Dean
