Support thread for JcM Our Bestsellers Carousel Box V1.1

Recommended Posts

A simple add-on that places an alternative best sellers box on your site. Plain text may not sit well in all site designs. This adds a BS carousel with image to give your site a little bit more.

It will display as slide or fade which can be set in admin as well as the image size and position. You can also select to display product name or model

This is a basic implantation so nothing fancy.

It’s a no core change add-on so simply copy over files and install and turn on. That’s it enjoy.

Has been tested on Phoenix V1.0.1.2 only.

Can be seen working on my custom test site

NOTE: This is NOT the official test site

Is no one making contributions for Edge or Frozen anymore?  I just installed this and can confirm that it does not work in Edge.

It will display something...but, definitely not what you expected!

I know it was tested in Phoenix only...but I had to try.

No sorry it Phoneix only but should be fine on any BS4 version. Just don't have the time to maintain other versions.

you could just cheat and simply add the boostrap 4 cdn's into your tem file, shoud work. All your missing is the BS4 css and js

Am I the only one alarmed by the number of external links being used in osCommerce?

Google, Cloudflare, Fontawesome, etc.  I don't like this.  Looks like my website is dependent on so many other websites in order to load and perform well.

Does it have to be like this?  Or is this normal by today's standards?  One lousy server goes down and there goes your web pages.

Use the BS3 files posted! As far as external links, it makes no diferance infact the servers used for cdn are less likely to fail than your server.

JcM Our Bestsellers Carousel Box V1.4

Updated to add vertical scrolling option. This can be set in admin by first selecting slide for the change option and then carousel-inner vertical from the slide vertical selection.

For normal slide or fade keep second selection on carousel-inner
