Dutch Translation for Phoenix

Recommended Posts

Dear friends,

Another question.

I defined - using admin -> Localization -> Languages  - a second language in my test shop: Dutch (Nederlands).

It resulted in this list  (partly shown)

Define Languages pixel_trans.gif
Files Writable Last Modified
dutch.php tick.gif 21-07-2019 01:49:41
account.php tick.gif 18-07-2019 00:14:17
account_edit.php tick.gif 20-07-2019 21:47:11
account_history.php tick.gif 18-07-2019 00:24:48
account_history_info.php tick.gif 18-07-2019 00:21:57

I wonder if the column 'Writable' (and the image for 'correct') are used as intended here.

Is it correct if the language files are writable, or ?

Best regards

Eveline

Eveline, are you about to translate Phoenix to Dutch?

Yes this is normal as you may need to add to or edit language files on your site. Just a word of caution, if you intend to use html within your langage file then do not edit in admin as it can brake the files, best to edit in cpanel out side admin.

Before you do anything else, please rename your admin folder, and change the admin configuration file to reflect the new name.

I have just removed a number of links to your admin area...which means that anyone (and everyone) now knows the location of your admin area.

Please be more careful when copy/pasting to this forum - I have found that the best way is to paste to text (eg notepad++), then copy from that and re-paste into this forum.

Again:  change your admin folder name...now.

Thank you for your advice. I always rename admin that for my live site and other test site, of course. Only this last test site was not at that point yet.

Best regards

OK, I see. Thank you!
I suppose you set all files to 'read only' afterwards..

Best regards
