What is the best way to ensure that the information I’ve bwen receiving is legitimate?

Ive been given access to the admin account and can see customer orders going through regularly but the graph showing new customers doesn’t match up and I was wondering is it possible to fake these transactions that list amount and gross profit etc and what are the best steps to take to ensure legitimacy?

You should never take the admin data for this type of decision making. The db can be manipulted to read anything you wish. You need to do your commercial due diligence. Ask to see the official accounts for the buissness, get advice from an accountant / solicitors.

This has nothing to do with osCommerce, and not really even with ecommerce in general. It is how to exercise due diligence when entering into a business contract. Please do not use this forum for such purposes.
