Aqua121 Posted May 22, 2003 Share Posted May 22, 2003 I'd like to use html, inserting images when sending out e-mails to customers through the admin. Also special characters, like Ő ? ? ? ? ű and similar, but some comes out only as you see it here, too :roll: Could anyone let me know how to do it? It would realyy help me a lot. Guest Posted June 4, 2003 Share Posted June 4, 2003 http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php...ght=html+emails specifically from Steve: To allow HTML to pass through the admin section of the newsletter in version 2.2. Do the following - in the mail.php file in the admin section look for $mimemessage->add_text($message); and change it to $mimemessage->add_html($message); worked for me :D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

chet Posted June 5, 2003 Share Posted June 5, 2003 First download this contribution http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,301 Then open admin/mail.php find <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="includes/stylesheet.css"> paste the following lines under this <script language="Javascript1.2"><!-- // load htmlarea _editor_url = ""; // URL to htmlarea files var win_ie_ver = parseFloat(navigator.appVersion.split("MSIE")[1]); if (navigator.userAgent.indexOf('Mac') >= 0) { win_ie_ver = 0; } if (navigator.userAgent.indexOf('Windows CE') >= 0) { win_ie_ver = 0; } if (navigator.userAgent.indexOf('Opera') >= 0) { win_ie_ver = 0; } if (win_ie_ver >= 5.5) { document.write('<scr' + 'ipt src="' +_editor_url+ 'editor.js"'); document.write(' language="Javascript1.2"></scr' + 'ipt>'); } else { document.write('<scr'+'ipt>function editor_generate() { return false; }</scr'+'ipt>'); } // --></script> Then find <td><?php echo tep_draw_textarea_field('message', 'soft', '60', '15'); ?> </td> And paste under this line <script language="javascript1.2">editor_generate('message'); </script> Then use the hack $mimemessage->add_text($message); and change it to $mimemessage->add_html($message); And youre done :) You can do the same with newsletters.php Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted March 2, 2004 Share Posted March 2, 2004 Where are you sticking the: <script language="javascript1.2">editor_generate('message'); </script> part to get it working in newsletters.php? I'm trying to figure it out, but the file looks pretty different from your mail.php example (which worked great - thanks!) Silent Z Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
