CodeStacker
I've started making a website using Wix that needs users to be able to sell to other users. Is Oscommerce right for me?

ArtcoInc
@CodeStacker As I understand it, Wix is a WYSIWYG HTML editor. osCommerce is a database driven program, using PHP and mySQL to generate the pages. A WYSIWYG editor, such as Wix, FrontPage, or Dreamweaver can not be used to create or edit osCommerce pages . That said, if you want to have more than just a shopping cart on your site (a blog, or even just a landing page), you could use something like Wix to create that/those page(s), and just have a link on it/them to the osCommerce portion of your site. MrPhil
Just understand that osCommerce, just like most other applications, will think that it owns the whole site and often will not play well with others. In addition to your not being able to use Wix's WYSIWYG editor on osC files, any harmonization of styles (CSS) will be a manual process, and getting a "common signon" across the site (log in once anywhere to all your applications, including osC) involves quite a bit of code bending. Finally, it may not be possible to jump between applications without losing your existing signon and maybe your cart contents (due to loss of session). As long as you understand these limitations, it is possible to have multiple applications on one site.
