osCommerce

The e-commerce.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am new to OsCommerce and apologize if my questions sound .....silly....

I have a store for the last 2-3 years but haven't sold a thing....yet...

My webhost guy has no idea how to do anything if I ask him to change this or that.

He set up OsCommerce because I had asked him to, but as far as making changes, I am on my own.

My domain is

http://www.FantasyLandofMiniatures.com

I need to find a way to change the shipping, privacy and few other things.

1.) I have checked out the forum, but if I go to:

admin

tools

define languages

I can't click on shipping.php...it does have the large green check mark, but when I click on it it does....NOTHING

What could be the problem and how do I fix this?

2.) I have designated the tax rate and the shipping zone, but when I created an account and put items in my cart, it does NOT add tax or shipping charge at check out.

What could be the problem and how do I fix this?

3.) How can I add multiple pictures to any one item?

Sometimes it would be great to show the same item from multiple angles.

4.) Where can I add/modify my key words and meta tag?

5.)Is there an easy way to create a list of my inventory with all the pictures and description and all the other info?

6.) If anyone can look at my website and suggest changes and/or modifications I would appreciate it. I am tired of forking out money for years and not making a penny and still holding on to my inventory...

#1. Download the language file, change it, upload it.

#2. Ensure each product is set to the Tax Zone

#3. Use Large Image facility

1.)  My language section doesn't work in my admin as well. You can change it at: public_html/includes/languages/english/shipping.php.

2.)  Have you made sure the Tax Classes is set to Taxable Goods? Also in the products table in your database the products_tax_class_id has to be set to 1 for all of your products for it to figure the tax. In the same table the products_status has to be set to 1 as well. If not, it will think your item is out of stock and not be able to sell or ship.

Take care

Bill
