paypal standard 3.2 product quantity

Recommended Posts

I'm running 2.3.4BS gold with paypal standard 3,2.

Just recently I've noticed that when a customer pays with paypal the order completes, I receive notification from Paypal, but no email from my website.

Then I noticed that the product quantity wasn't decreasing.

So, I tested the system my placing an order myself.  Paypal acknowledged the order by email, shop issued an email, and the quantity was reduced.  The order was deleted and the option to restock was selected.  So it appears that all is well.

However, the system with real customers is not obviously working ok.  NO shop emails are sent, and the product quantity is NOT reducing.

I've not altered the paypal attributes recently or any code relating to payment/shipping, So what is happening??

The paypal standard setting are as follows:

Could this be related to customers different web browsers, device (mobile/desktop) or operating system.

I've only tested using Windows and Firefox

My shop is running on Linux and Apache

On my test server, stand alone PC running windows, I've got email using smtp up and running.  This runs OK.

On my shop server, linux, I use sendmail,

Should I switch to smtp?

Mike install the Paypal App -> Paypal Standard (best for testing in my opinion); http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/9184

After installation, ensure;

1. API is set up at Paypal and entered correctly on the paypals module page in admin

2. PDT is turned on (at Paypal), and the PDT token is entered on the paypals module page in admin

3. Return URL is set to the checkout_success.php page of your site.

This configuration ensures that both Desktop and Mobile can use the Paypal system.

This is a signature that appears on all my posts.
IF YOU MAKE A POST REQUESTING HELP...please state the exact version
of osCommerce that you are using. THANKS

Return URL needs to be: checkout_process.php per the new PayPal App settings.
