Adding more options to BS product listing sort dropdown ?

I've looked at the product listing file, and the sort dropdown is fixed to 2 options, same as on normal version. I previously had to edit the product listing file to change this feature, but was hoping for a non core hack alternative with the bootstrap version?

 

currently the default sort dropdown shows

 

Price

Name

 

 

 

Ideally, would be great to have the option of adding/removing more sort options and have it look like say this

 

 

Price Low to High

Price High to Low

Name Asc to Desc

Name Desc to Asc

Newly Added

Best Sellers

 

 

I was wondering if there is a way to overrite this via a module?
