If you think that they are expensive - dont buy them.

A developer has to get a return for the time they put in creating these things, and also in supporting them.

If you can do any better at a cheaper price and offer the same service as Gary does, then go ahead start creating and supporting your own themes. The more the merrier.

@@sahins thanks for the feedback.

What you and 95% of users maybe don't understand is that every sale means I can devote time to the Responsive project.

How do you think I've been able to devote time in the last two years to building the code that you use for your shop?

You do realise I don't get paid by osCommerce to help make Responsive osCommerce?

Guys,

Sure, you are right. I understand. It was just an idea from by end user! Maybe you could a little discount. This also is a sales technique. Anyway, nevermind :)

Good work!

We cant persuade you to buy one of the templates then, which will mean that you will support the free code that you use, as the coder will be able to spend a bit of time improving the free product.

Never mind it was hopeful.

Expensive? Hardly...but should put the price in the front though...

Good themes but very expensive!

Expensive? Hardly...but should put the price in the front though...

As this:

RESPONSIVE TEMPLATES
Built with care, for the Bootstrapped Responsive osCommerce

All priced at £60 (approx $99)

is obviously not clear enough

I have also added the price right next to each of the Paypal buttons on the Responsive Templates.

Thanks for the feedback.

ANY good theme, unfortunately even poor themes, cost what they do for good reason. The work involved in putting a theme together takes many hours, a lot of detail work, and then to make a theme that does not touch any core files with osCommerce, is even a more daunting task. But the end result is a well crafted theme that will not interfere with any future updates and shall prove to perform reliably for the long run.

I mean, I and others here, can quickly retheme a site in a short time, but then there are all the elements that need to be fine tuned, blended, made to compliment each other, and work well across multiple Operating Systems and devices. A theme for $99 dollars is a bargain, there is the intent that it will sell well enough to cover the cost of the time and effort involved. Ask a coder to do the same for an individual site and the cost can start at ten fold more and rise from there.

You can make it as sophisticated as you wish...with a load of hard work on your part.

Good luck!

Hi Burt,

I did not mean any disrespect.

I am happy to pay and buy a theme. I looked at the ones you already have and I feel I need something more. As an engineer, I can make things work. I can not get them to look pretty, though :-)

In fact, I bought the one I mentioned already for another site that runs stock standard osCommerce. I think, my only option is to gut it and use the bits and pieces in BS version.

Yeah sure.  I might do a new Theme for when 2.3.6 is released.

Keep an eye on the thread.

Hi Gary,

I think you have a great selection of themes. They are very professional and the prices are more than reasonable.

I wanted to try something a little more different, and so I came up with this;

http://template.me.uk/illusory-hope/

Limited to 20 buyers.  First 10 can have it for £50.  Next 10 at £100.

If of interest, PM me.

There are NO CORE CODE CHANGES.
