Add on for weight attribute

I'm building a site using OS 2.2. It featured chemicals sold in either quart, gallon, or 5 gallon sizes.

I've set up the Product Attributes for the different sizes. How do I get it to automatically recognize the different weight?

I've decided, not really finding an answer anywhere, that I would try to do this myself. On the products_attribute page I've got it to display a weights column (which I've added to the database through phpMyAdmin) but it's not returning the values in the database. Where in the code does it connect to the database table and return the entries?

Are you really using 2.2 version? 2.3.4 is the current most secure version, and easier to modify (imo).

Sounds like you already added some weight fields to the attributes? You also have to make changes to the shopping_cart class file to push the weight to the product @ checkout. There is an existing contribution that works just fine for any very version, I think it is called more products weight? No sure though, but its out there.

Whoops ... yes, I did upgrade to 2.3.3.4.

And the reason I duplicated the post was because I thought I would get better answers in the developers forum.
