Sometimes blank shipping address & charges

Hi, firstly I am a store owner but not a programmer, so apologies in advance for my ignorance...

Occasionaly, we are experiencing orders being placed with only the billing address shown/recorded [that is, no shipping address information] & therefore no shipping charge is generated.

We are using v2.3.1

 

Any ideas? please let me know any further info I can provide

If an order is only digital downloads (no hard goods to ship), it will only be the billing address (used for tax purposes). Do these orders include any shippable goods?

Have a look at the orders with the missing shipping and see if they have used PayPal Express as the payment method - if they have then I'd suggest that's the primary suspect - other than that I can't really help but http://forums.oscommerce.com/topic/350271-paypal-express-checkout-and-shipping/ may be a start

Thanks for the replies...yes they are physical goods being shipped & yes I also suspect it is a PayPal Express issue ...thank you for the link to the other discussion
