Jims free work is of top-notch commercial quality with proper user manuals and adequate timely support.

In my opinion he is a role model for many wannabe coders trolling the forums.

KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON
FYI Upgrade to the highest PHP version you can( PHP 5.5/5.6 or 7.1  and get big performance improvements for free)

But be aware php 5.5 is more strict about things.
UTF8-without BOM, no extra spaces allowed at the beginning or end of your php file, or your redirects wont work.
No double declarations of functions allowed - used to slip through the cracks ...

Find the most frequent unique errors to fix:

grep "PHP" php_error_log.txt | sed "s/^.* PHP/PHP/g" |grep "line" |sort | uniq -c | sort -r > counterrors.txt

Hi All,

Jim is simply one of the very best, very active on the forums would love to know how he finds the time  noticed he does not sleep much at night.

I would agree with Carine a role model for the community with a vast knowledge of osCommerce .

Just one of the guys who really work in the spirit of open source.

Best regards

Joli

Shares what he knows, and if he doesn't know (which isn't all that often) he's upfront about that as well. He embodies the spirit of what open commerce is all about. 100% reliable.

I am not a professional webmaster or PHP coder by background or training but I will try to help as best I can.

I remember what it was like when I first started with osC. It can be overwhelming.

However, I strongly recommend considering hiring a professional for extensive site modifications, site cleaning, etc.

There are several good pros here on osCommerce. Look around, you'll figure out who they are.

Jim is very responsive and quick when I need help. He is very knowledgeable and patient with those of us needing help.

I would recomment getting ahold of Jim if you need ANY help with osCommerce. He is the absolute BEST there is.

I chose him because he is very active in the osCommerce forum.

Thanks Jim!
