Edit browsers site title order

Recommended Posts

I've searched and looked at different files but can't for the life of me figure it out.

The title that shows on the top of the browser is what I want to change.

Right now it shows in this order - Product Name (or category), Store Name - Browser.

Would like it in this order - Store Name, Product Name (or category) - Browser.

All I was able to find was in:

template_top.php

<title><?php echo tep_output_string_protected($oscTemplate->getTitle()); ?></title>

:wacko:

That text is the title from the head section of the page, often referred to as the Meta Title. Yours appears to be from the default osCommerce module -- see Modules >> Header Tags in your Admin. The SEO Header Tags Modules addon provides some additional modules with more options. See the link below.

Thank you Jim for such a speedy reply.

My eyes and brain are not working very good tonight (1am).

I can't seem to spot in the admin header tags where I can adjust to have the store name list first.

I plan on adding SEO header tags, but don't I have to fix the order first?

You can't fix it with the stock module, unless you want to recode it to work the way you want. The SEO Header Tags modules will let you do that without any coding, if you uninstall the stock module first.
