'Enhanced Categories Box'- needs file /includes/general.php- missing

Running OSC 2.3.1. Trying to install Enhanced Categories Box add-on.

The instructions say: 'Then add the following function to catalog/includes/general.php somewhere before the closing ?>'.

The problem is that I have not got this file! There is though a file called catalog/includes/general.js

What should I do please?

Thanks

Martin

Hey Martin.

Can I suggest that you read this thread:

http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/topic/389419-questions-about-enhanced-categories-box/

Enhanced Categories Box has a few problems but can work quite well if tweaked correctly. I use it on my site if you want to have a look. www.rain-e-daze.co.uk

It took a bit of work to get right and it's still not perfect, especially if IE is in anything less than IE8 Standards mode. If you follow my instructions in that other thread and IE isn't in IE7, emulated or quirks mode then the box should work.

Regards,

Graham

Not enough time in the day. Need a time machine...

Would build one, but not enough time. Ironically.
