ron123
It seems that the link: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/page/docs/_/oscom/23/release-notes-v2/oscommerce-online-merchant-v233-r13 Is not working anymore. http://www.oscommerce.info doesn't show the update instructions for 2.3.3 Anyone knows where to find it? Jacki
I'm a complete idiot when it comes to code. I just want my site to work. I can't update to 2.3.3 just because I'm so scared I'll stuff it all up & not be able to get my site back online. I wish there was an automatic update that would happen. Anyway, is there some way anyone can help me update it? Like I said, I am an idiot with code. Please? I'd do it, but then I'd most likely take down more than just the site... I'd stuff things up totally. I really am learning, but just not in the right parts.
Guest
@@Jacki The best way to update your site, is to do it OFFLINE or make a copy of it into a sub-directory. This way, if you 'stuff it all up', it won't effect your live site  Chris
Jacki
@@DunWeb But I have no clue how to do that at all. Like serious, I stuffed it up putting a font in... that's how bad I am. I really am learning, but just not in the right parts.
Guest
@@Jacki That bad eh ? Well, you have two choices. 1) Learn how to do everything and complete the task(s) yourself. 2) Hire someone to do it for you. Chris

germ
Install v2.3.3 and import your data from the old site via MYSQL. Trying to "upgrade" thru the intermediate versions is an exercise in futility (IMHO) If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
