hello all, anyone knows a version of oscommerce or other solution to make a site like this:

www.nightcluboasis.com

4 or 5 pages 2 or 3 languages and support for online webcam

I mean, I put on the website a page with two live camera shots from the bar.

with an admin section to insert a photo and change the page content.

thanks

Porn site?

It depends on exactly what you want to do with this site. Do you want to sell anything (or just present a catalog)? What else besides webcam support do you want to put up? What are your future plans (what to add later)? If ecommerce/catalogs are not in your plans, osCommerce won't do anything for you.

A Content Management System is something like Drupal, Joomla, or (to an extent) WordPress that is a platform for easily building applications, including various plug-ins for ecommerce, forums, blogs, galleries, etc. The idea is that instead of having to glue together a bunch of separate (and often incompatible) applications -- osCommerce for the store, SMF for the forum, 4Images for the gallery, etc., there's a toolkit to do it all with compatible pieces.

Porn site? no! is not a porn site but simply a business card for a bar in pattaya nothing more.

I tried to watch something with CMS like Drupal, Joomla .....

I did not like

I better do it from scratch

because the contents are very few.

However, it is true using oscommerce platform is really unnecessary.

the thing that worries me most is, how to integrate SEO for search engines.

and also how do the streeming of webcam

any ideas are welcome.

thanks

I was referring to Chris's comment about "porn site", not that I necessarily thought it was one.

I can't help you with the streaming video feed, but SEO should be fairly standard techniques -- frequent fresh data, use of <hn> headers, get your important keywords into text (body text, alt tags, titles), try to get the most important text physically up front, avoid "black hat" techniques that can get you punished by search engines. SEO URL formats (avoiding URL Query Strings) may not be as important as it used to be, but still looks neater (and more professional) to human eyes.

As for whether to use a CMS or write it from scratch, it depends on what features you want, your skill level, and how much built-in capability a given CMS can provide you. If you write from scratch, you'll probably be able to find libraries to handling things like video streaming. If you want a blog, you'll want to use a canned forum or blog application rather than writing your own. The software may be able to "plug in" the video and other features you want, or you may just have a "landing page" and link to a standalone blog/forum.
