Hey.

I'm new here in the forum and have not used osCommerce before .

I create a MySQL on my server (on my host) and osCommerce is installaret (on my host) (Finished!) without error - where I can press the Tab "Catalog" or "Adminitration tool" - a new (window) popup that is BLANK and in the address bar it says http://my-page.dk/catalog/index.php and no erros just BLANK?

I am miserable to English - and have problems understanding what is in the "document" and what I should do? - I must enter a code! - index.php file to find the actual design - but how and where?

Use the view source option to see if there are any error messages visible, you can also look in your cpanel error log for any errors that occurred.

Please also state what php version you have on the server and if all recommended setting were shown during the setup. If you had any non-recommended what were they

And the error log says?

1st issue, you have register globals on, ask the host to turn it off, it changes the behavior of some vars, its depreciated & a security risk.

I would be concerned if I was using any host that has that defaulted to on.

register globals is a php setting set in your server config files, you may have access but best speak to your host

error codes

Log on to your server cpanel and click on error log

That doesn't look like a default install of osC

Check you have uploaded all files. If you have obtained a template, refer your issue to the template supplier.

If that's really your index.php you've got hold of a duff package from somewhere, use the one here instead http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/downloads and start from scratch.

But still turn off register globals, it will break things, now or later.
