Anyone please help..... I tried to use the lightbox mod as my first addition ( I figured it'd be easy and I can get my feet wet for my first customization).... well, it didnt work, sadly. So I replaced my Product_info.php file with the one that I had saved as a backup and now when I click on a product, all I get is a white screen.

I am a newbie... I am a senior controls engineer so I am not a complete novice.

Anyway, I'm mortified now that after all of the work I have done, I cannot fix this.... please, please somebody help!

Rob,

Typically, a white screen is caused when 'white space' is left before or after the opening/ closing PHP tags. If you used Dreamweaver or Frontpage to edit your php file, this would be the cause as they leave formatting code(hidden) in the file. You should be using a text editor such as Notepad++ or Editplus+.

To correct the current issue, remove the whitespace before and after the PHP tags.

ok.. I just pasted the file that came with the download in..... so I didnt really edit it. I do have DW but also Notepad ++ I should have just edited it... but since I did a wholesale replace of the original.... I am thinking that... it's something else.

ok so I have realized that the one with the dl is at best a stupid thing to do. I didnt have all of the meta and that in the header and everything that my particular template needs. so, i've gone back to my original and added the things that I am supposed to add.... individually like the instructions say and still white screen... I tried and found some white space but, this doesnt seem to get the page working right....

I have tried adding the lightbox folder straight into my catalog folder and also have broken up the files individually and placed them into the /images and /css folders. Since there was no/js folder I even added that one in to the catalog directory. It seems that all of my bases should be covered.... Im just not sure as to where I am going wrong.
