Shipping and Billing address ...special chars formatted differently

Hey,

 

I have recently noticed that there is a difference between the way special characters are stored in the orders table. For example one of our customers is from the city of 'Weißenfels'. In the customers city field this is stored as 'Weißenfels' whereas in the delivery_city field it is stored as 'Weißenfels'. The delivery city field is displayed on our invoices (which are attached to the outside of our packages).

 

Does anyone know how to make alterations such that the delivery_city field will keep the correct formatting?
