Mail Manager

Recommended Posts

Hello!

I installed Mail Manager Contrib. on 2.3.1 and it almost works fine.

I used the search - but there is ony one topic about the mail manager contrib. so I'am wondering is there a special reason why so less people use it?

Anyway I have some problems:

1. Instead of having the button Mail Manager between Customers and Moduls I have the Text: BOX_HEADING_MAIL_MANAGER on the top of Konfiguration -

2. When I klick on that text I come to the Mail Manager and can edit everything but the Admin Navigations seems to have no css any more - all Buttons disapears, the text links are all in one colum (also the submenu)

3. The edited Mail for order conformation comes with the title .....has recommendet.....instead of order conformaiton - but the content of the mail is fine.

I do hope some people use this add on becaus I find i kind of usefull.

Thanks in advance!

First of all: You just posted a direct link to your admin, that is, on top, not .htaccess protected !! (also in an other post). First thing is to go and change the admin folder name and add htaccess ptotection to it

To your issues

1) The BOX_HEADING_... text mean simply that some language define is missing

2) The missing css, are you sure that the "mail manager" file is for version 2.3.1? Does it include template_top.php?

Again, first take care of the admin folder !!

Hello - thank you for the hint with the admin!

To the Mail Manager:

- Yes, you were right. I forgot to do the second point of the install - that fixed the Problem with the button.

- You also have been right with the template top. - I included this now in the 4 files: catalog/youradmin/mm_templates , mm_responsemail, mm_email and mm_bulkmail and

- delete the <?php require(DIR_WS_INCLUDES . 'column_left.php'); ?> line in all of those 4 files.

- Then I edit the catalog/youradmin/includes/boxes/mail_manager.php and change the code to:

<?php
/*
 $Id$
 osCommerce, Open Source E-Commerce Solutions
 http://www.oscommerce.com
 Copyright (c) 2010 osCommerce
 Released under the GNU General Public License
*/
 $cl_box_groups[] = array(
   'heading' => BOX_HEADING_MAIL_MANAGER,
   'apps' => array(
  array(
    'code' => FILENAME_MM_RESPONSEMAIL,
    'title' => BOX_MM_RESPONSEMAIL,
    'link' => tep_href_link(FILENAME_MM_RESPONSEMAIL)
  ),
  array(
    'code' => FILENAME_MM_TEMPLATES,
    'title' => BOX_MM_TEMPLATES,
    'link' => tep_href_link(FILENAME_MM_TEMPLATES)
  ),
  array(
    'code' => FILENAME_MM_BULKMAIL,
    'title' => BOX_MM_BULKMAIL,
    'link' => tep_href_link(FILENAME_MM_BULKMAIL)
  ),
  array(
    'code' => FILENAME_MM_EMAIL,
    'title' => BOX_MM_EMAIL,
    'link' => tep_href_link(FILENAME_MM_EMAIL)
  ),
	  )
 );
?>

- last thing I did was editing the catalog/includes/languages/yourlanguage/checkout_process.php. The install guide says add the 2 lines:

define('EMAIL_TEXT_CONFIRM', 'has recommended');
define('TEXT_FROM', 'from');

I change the has recommended to your order from

So it seems to work fine now - I realy like that tool - makes the conformation mail much nicer and also the other mails.
