Changes to Emails - No experience on How To ?

Hi,

 

I was wondering if I could get some help with my emails. I am working with version 2.3.1

 

 

1. The order process email is fine but it has a () in the product sold. I was wondering if this could be changed ?

 

ie: 1 x Air Blue Opal 5328 4mm 25pcs () = $1.80

 

 

2. The order update email - I went into XXXXX/includes/languages/english/orders.php and would like to change the wording if I can.

 

Right now my emails say; 'The comments for your order are' . "\n\n%s\n\n"); and that is it. There is no other comments. Can I change the " the comments for your order are " to something else or do I have to keep that as is.

 

 

I read the forum discussion http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/topic/377456-change-email-sent-with-order/ but found it to be very confusing and I found it difficult to follow.

 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hope I am going into the right direction but if not can someone please advise as to how to change these 2 areas ( order process & order update )
