PayPal Website Standard Payments - Issue

Hi,

Total beginner here, so any help explained with this in mind wuld be great!

I have installed the website payments standard module as per the instructions in:

http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/topic/331996-how-to-setup-paypal-website-payments-standard/

Now I'm testing it in sandbox and all works fine until I review my order information in PayPal, and Click - Pay.

Then it gives the error message:

This invoice has already been paid. For more information, please contact the merchant.

Return to <[email protected]>

At this time, we are unable to process your request. Please return to sales@myshopname and try another option.

Can anyone explain how to solve this issue?

I have not installed the ipn.php mod, as I am unsure of what it will do.

With this in mind, I have tried every option, i.e. in my paypal "Profile" I have the return URL as www.mysite.com/checkout_process.php instead of the ipn.php mod file.

Is this the issue? Is there a known fix?

Can anyone help!?

I am running OSC v2.2

Nils,

Enable COD payments, then complete a couple of transactions using COD. Then, try PayPal again.

Hi Chris, thanks for the quick reply.

I enabled COD payments, did 2 transactions this way, and then went back to PayPal, and received the same error message.

I am totally confused by this now, any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Nils.

Nils,

Normally, with a couple of COD transactions the error would be resolved because the transaction ID auto increments. Unfortunately, since what I suggested has worked for me in the past, I don't have any other suggestions for you.

Chris
