jhande
I finally installed version 2.3.1 for a new webshop. After long hours dealing with my host I finally got the SSL certificate working. I noticed once the secure page loads I lose such buttons as the header shortcuts. The text is there but the graphics (assuming CSS) and spacing are not. I am not sure where to look and for what... Also I am having an email problem. When a new customer registers, the customer receives an email but I do not. Yes I have send extra emails setup to send to the owners email address and created the email account in the servers email program. I do receive Contact Us emails from the site. Again I am not sure where or what to look for. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
jhande
When a new customer registers, the customer receives an email but I do not. WOW... The same glitch in my version 2.2 :o This is the fix - Email Issues Now to try and figure out my CSS buttons disappearing with SSL. - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
Xpajun
Your css buttons are js buttons as the problem only appears when ssl is on, have a look at Germ's ssl troubleshooter He is normally quite happy to point you in the right direction as well (check his post in the security forum) My store is currently running Phoenix 1.0.3.0 I'm currently working on 1.0.7.2 and hope to get it live before 1.0.8.0 arrives (maybe 🙄 ) I used to have a list of add-ons here but I've found that with the ones that supporters of Phoenix get any other add-ons are not really neccessary
germ
If I had the URL I'd be happy to assist. :) If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. jhande
Thanks for the pointer Julian, downloading as I type this. Thank you Jim. My bad for not posting a link, I should know better by now.... http://handesjewelry.com then click (or) "My Account" Not sure why but the site is super slow loading at times compared to my 2.2 version http://handeshobbies.com, so you might need patiences. :( - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
germ
The Web Developer plgin in Firefox says: Unable to pull 205136 bytes through temp URL: https://secure.bluehost.com/~handesho/handesjewelry/ext/jquery/ui/jquery-ui-1.8.6.min.js And that would be the file where the code for the buttons are. I'm not sure whats' up.... I g00gled the error but diidn't see anything constructive. Seems to be related to shared SSL (from what I read). jhande
Thank you so much for checking it out for me Jim, truely appreciate it. Starting to think I might just use an updated 2.2 version. - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
germ
If your setup is the type where you have a folder for the SSL files and one for the NON-SSL files you might check that file in the SSL folder (permissions and content). It might have glitched when you copied it. If your SSL and NON-SSL files are the same your host may have some idea what to do. Because in that case it's THEIR problem - you're just a victim of it. I'll contact my host ASAP. I'm experiencing the slow page loads/freezing glitch that some have posted when their site is viewed with IE8, but I have it with IE7. It also looks like another big learning curve to redesign (layout not theme) 2.3.1 compared to 2.2. My wife just wants a basic two column layout and change the colors. I am also having troubles making small edits/changes here and there, some don't work and some I can't figure out how. I'd hate to start all over asking for tons of help again, I really don't like the taste of blood... :P That's why 2.2 might be better for me... ?? :( - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
germ
Whomever coined the phrase "familiarity breeds contempt" obviously wasn't a "software person". If 2.2 works for you (does everything you need it to do), I'd "run with it" for now. ;) If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. I realize I "should" move on to 2.3.1, but just no time to start from scratch right now. :( Thank you Jim, I appreciate your efforts very much. - :: Jim :: - - My Toolbox ~ Adobe Web Bundle, XAMPP & WinMerge | Install ~ osC v2.3.3.4 -
