I was wondering approximately how long - every 6 months to a year? Just wondering so I can give some kind of indication to clients as to how often they would need to update. There were three other releases between that and 2.2MS2 in 2003. So, about one a year if you want the average. The longest time between releases was about two years; the shortest time was one day. Older files are commonly included, and the date was sometimes not changed even if the file was updated. If the file date was changed, it was changed in CVS at the time the file was changed, which can be months prior to the release. Harald is probably the only person who knows all of the release dates for certain. I can only tell from the timestamps on the downloads that I made at the time, and I always got the file within a day of the original release. For all releases after 2.2 MS2, that is. The timestamp on my copy of 2.2RC2a is 31 January 2008. The May date above is incorrect; I apparently downloaded a new copy in May for some reason.
