I have installed OsCommerce. In the Administrator pane when I click on Catalog it takes me to the home page. I need to add products as soon as possible I am on a deadline. When I checked the administrator section in the COnfigure tab I had this message in red... can any one helo me. I have tried changing the file security so it is writable but it still doesnt work it gives me another error!!

I need to have this done by this week!! HELP ME!

Additional Protection With htaccess/htpasswdThis osCommerce Online Merchant Administration Tool installation is not additionally secured through htaccess/htpasswd means.

The following files need to be writable by the web server to enable the htaccess/htpasswd security layer:

•/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/americantruckcrane.com/httpdocs/catalog/admin/.htaccess

•/usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/americantruckcrane.com/httpdocs/catalog/admin/.htpasswd_oscommerce

Reload this page to confirm if the correct file permissions have been set.

That is not the answer to the problem you have - your admin section will work without the additional protection.

Your problem is possibly associated with a bad install, most sites will redirect you to the home page when the page that you are looking for can't be found...

My store is currently running Phoenix 1.0.3.0

I'm currently working on 1.0.7.2 and hope to get it live before 1.0.8.0 arrives (maybe 🙄 )

I used to have a list of add-ons here but I've found that with the ones that supporters of Phoenix get any other add-ons are not really neccessary

Michael,

You don't NEED that to use .htaccess protection but it is a good idea. If you are having problems with applying .htaccess protection, ensure your file permissions are set to 604 or 644.
