adelgado 0 Posted November 15, 2011 Thanks, Jim! The language was defined as Portuguese, pointing to a folder "portugues" (without the e at the end) By changing the language to Portugues, I no longer get the error message
adelgado 0 Posted November 16, 2011 Another prob, with the New Products module I installed this module after installing the language, but I see no way of inserting text in Portuguese..... whatever text I insert in the field "New Products for...", in english, remains in English when I change the language - am I missing something? Regards, Antonio
♥kymation 631 Posted November 16, 2011 That's a bug. The current version of this module doesn't have the language code. I need to fix that. Regards Jim See my profile for a list of my addons and ways to get support.

♥kymation 631 Posted November 19, 2011 You have uploaded a file to the Admin that belongs in the catalog. Remove that file or replace it with the correct file. Regards Jim See my profile for a list of my addons and ways to get support.
snuggtopz 1 Posted November 20, 2011 hey this is a great add on - now my shop is knackered and I have no idea how to fix it .. thx. all it seems to have done is wiped my front page, the module doesn't appear in my tool box on the left. ???
♥kymation 631 Posted November 20, 2011 Clearing the front page is correct. You need to install modules to see anything there. In the Admin, clear your cache and force a refresh. If you still don't see Front Page under Modules, you either missed a file or two or you put them in the wrong places. Check your Admin side install again. snuggtopz 1 Posted November 20, 2011 nope.. just tried to install again, front page is blank , under tools-cache control i refreshed everything that was there but there were only 3 things ? categories box manufacturers box also purchased module did an F5 refresh and still no 'Front Page' under modules ??
♥kymation 631 Posted November 20, 2011 Use <ctrl> F5 to force a refresh. Or open a page in a different section of the Admin and then come back to Modules. Regards Jim See my profile for a list of my addons and ways to get support.
snuggtopz 1 Posted November 20, 2011 thx Jim Nope.. nothing doing. I tried both ways and not a sausage ?? Rich
♥kymation 631 Posted November 20, 2011 Then you have made a mistake in uploading one or more of the files. Check that each one is in the correct location. Replace the file if there is any doubt. snuggtopz 1 Posted November 20, 2011 (edited) Hiya when moving the files over first time i did it one at a time second time I just selected the catalog folder and copied the whole folder with ftp. I would have thought doing it the second way if there is a file missing then it can only be in the addon ? please do bear in mind I am a dim whit though :-) Edited November 20, 2011 by snuggtopz

♥kymation 631 Posted November 20, 2011 I have no idea what you've done. Obviously there is something wrong, but I've run out of guesses. Regards Jim See my profile for a list of my addons and ways to get support.
snuggtopz 1 Posted November 20, 2011 ok Jim. it's a shame , i really wanted this mod to put information on the front page :-( Rich
♥kymation 631 Posted November 20, 2011 This is the simplest way to make many changes to the front page. Any other method will require making changes to the code in your index.php, which is much more difficult. Regards Jim See my profile for a list of my addons and ways to get support. snuggtopz 1 Posted November 20, 2011 could the problem be anything to do with my server software versions ? Rich
snuggtopz 1 Posted November 20, 2011 Ahh one thing,, when i installed my shop it ended up being in the folder /catalog/catalog/ could that do it ?
♥kymation 631 Posted November 20, 2011 Yes, if your osCommerce install is in /catalog/catalog/ and you tried to install this Addon into /catalog/ it will certainly not work. The question is why is your installation in /catalog/catalog/ in the first place? You should install in the root unless there is a good reason not to. adelgado 0 Posted November 25, 2011 JIm That's a bug. The current version of this module doesn't have the language code. I need to fix that. Would you have an idea when the New Products module will be compatible with different languages? Thanks
