.xtop directory with permissions 777 in catalog folder

Hi All,

folder .xtop in "catalog" folder appears all the time in my osCommerce catalogs' structure. This folder contains some crappy files like:

dead-or-alive-you-spin-me-round-html

easy-green-bean-casserole.html

etc.

It looks like some kind of index files created by some external software. The number of these files grows quite rapidly. Moreover permission to directory .xtop has been allways automatically changed to 777. I've set this permission to lower many times but always something changes it to 777 and another crappy files appear.

I've already installed SecurityPro extension, protection through .htaccess files, proper permissions for all files and folders but this directory comes back all the time.

I've created .htaccess file with following content in .xtop directory:

Deny from all

and I've created index.html file with cracker trap but nothing helps.

Could you advice me how to block it? Maybe somebody had similar problem?

regards,

Marek
