GOOGLEBOT Parameters

Need help to configure googlebot parameters inside the webmaster tools of gmail accounts.

 

Now there is a new screen to configure the options.

 

Ignore / Not Ignore / Google decides.

 

The available fields are:

 

sort

osCsid

score

pid

categories_id

table

page

products_id

action

manufacturers_id

rp_products_id

cPath

pID

sortcol

sortdir

newsdesk_id

Think about it... if that parameter of the URL is REQUIRED to locate the correct product then it should definitely not be ignored by Google. If it being there or not makes no difference whether the page is found then it should be ignored.

 

Take osCid for example... is it required to find the page requested? No. It is only required to differentiate between customers on your site. And, you wouldn't want Google indexing a URL specific to another persons identity, would you?

 

 

I think with a little thought you can figure this out on your own.. if not, ask us again in an hour.

The problem began some months ago, since Google changed de screen options of the Googlebot to a new tab. I had about 5000pages indexed, and since that it began to go down to about 3400pages.

 

This is the configuration now.
