Hello again!

I am using your contribution and I have the following:

define ('KISS_ERROR_REPORTING_OUTPUT', 'screen ');

define ('KISS_ERROR_REPORTING_SWITCH', 'on');

define ('KISS_ERROR_REPORTING_GET_SWITCH', 'user setting');

define ('KISS_ERROR_REPORTING_SUPPRESS_DUPLICATES', 'on');

define ('KISS_ERROR_REPORTING_QUERIES', 'on');

define ('KISS_ERROR_REPORTING_BREAKPOINTS', 'on');

Write index.php?fwroutput and is the normal index

Need help :)

Or...the reasons may be

1-My page is the perfect shop

2-I am a novice programmer

3-My English is from google translate and i not understand instruccions:P

By the way, where does the error.txt?

Thanks

You are using index.php?fwroutput

But your setting is ..

define ('KISS_ERROR_REPORTING_GET_SWITCH', 'user setting');

You can change this like ..

define ('KISS_ERROR_REPORTING_GET_SWITCH', 'gunita');

Then use index.php?gunita

By the way, where does the error.txt?

catalog/errors/kiss_errors.txt

Note: catalog probably does not exist, it is referring to the root of the osCommerce install.

Wow that is a huge number of errors.

KissER job ( the error handling ) is pointing out the errors .. I am not going to support correction of those errors.

Hi Robert,

I would like to know two things:

1) What's the difference between having: error_reporting(-1); in application.top and Kiss error handler?

The former reports no errors, while the latter does

2) I have installed http://forums.osquantum.org/index.php?showtopic=31&st=0 which gives separate boxes for the top level categories

Will this affect the kiss errohandler at all?

Kindest

Sara

Have you actually read the instructions and description of the contribution?

KissER is nothing like turning on the displaying of all errors in PHP.

Yes Robert I have read all of it, it might be that I do not understand all of it.

Sorry for that.

This contribution identifies and manages errors but this thread is for the support of the contribution not for handling individual errors.

Hi Ken, and thank you for your answer.

I have used it for admin for about a week now, just testing...

I thought that it was only written for the catalog side, since I've (so far) haven't got any errors from admin! :)

Hello,

Is it normal that the error reporting shows like 500~ notice errors, but only list 10-20 of them? Is there a limit on the number of errors it will list?

Thanks.

KissER is purposefully designed not to show the same error multiple times.

You probably only have 20 errors but the errors are being generated 500 times.

Oh thanks - got it... Then I really need to fix just 20 errors, good to hear :)

HiI have triet using this tool on my different pages, but the only one where it works is the indexpage, is it correct that it only reports on index?An example I have tried is:http://picturingtheworld.dk/index.php?cPath=21_22?myname/Jesper

I have the same question as kvadre above. I have installed the contribution and it works great for the homepage, shipping.php, contact_us.php, specials.php etc... but as soon as I try index.php?cpath= at loads the page but with no debuging report at the bottom. I need to debug my category pages because they are very slow and want to find out why.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone? Does this tool work on other people's ?cpath= pages? or does it just work for the index.php homepage? Simple confirmation either way would be great, so I'm not wasting my time trying to get it work. Thanks.

It works well on every page on my sites. I use it extensively to check and clean out any errors on every page (including sub categories). I am also using Roberts earlier seo/url contribution. I do not have his latest pro url installed, so I can not answer as to how well they play together. Although I would guess that works together too. I would check your install instructions again.

Thanks for the reply. Confirms that sighting on my install isn't working right. I have magic SEO URLs installed but I don't see why that would be causing the issue. I will go through the install instructions carefully and try and find what I missed.

Thanks again.
