I just wanted to thank everyone that helped me and contributed to this great ecommerce package. My site is live and up and running!

But as always, I will be adding new features - PHP photo gallery for the fitness models and maybe a live chat feature for the personalities in the business.

Any bugs pls report them to [email protected]

Thanks again.

that would be www.tinysnutrition.com judging by his e-mail.

I simply refuse to comment on a site that has popups, let alone shop there.

Get rid of them, you're running a business,

not a get-rich-quick scheme are you?

No it is not a get rich quick scheme, this is a legit business with a physical bricks and mortor store front. The pop-under is there to help drive traffic to a new site - it is a test of the effectiveness of this type of hit generation. It will probably not remain long.

I myself hate pop-ups but you cannot deny the prevalence and reported effectiveness of the pop-under.

Thanks,

How does anyone else feel about this form of hit generation?

Reported effectiveness?

Depends on your definition of effectiveness.

Annoying the %#^% out of your potential customers is effective in ruining your business.

IMHO it is the biggest sin in e-commerce since the <blink> tag.

Don't do it, it is costing you more then you think. Seriously.

You should not be getting traffic, you should be getting clients. Those are not the same thing. With pop-ups, under , over, actually anything popping wont be getting any valuable traffic and annoys customers.

The horizontal rules look really nice in the categories navigation, but you migth want to check them with some other browser besides IE. In Mozilla and Netscape they do not look the same, but they are not that bad. You migth want to stick some rules for <hr> element to your stylesheet to make them look better.

It is plain to see that you guys are not fans of pop-unders.

I definetly do not want to upset customers, and I will see what effect taking the pop-under off will have.

Thanks,

I also noticed that you have "whos online" box. You migth want to consider what its value is to your customers.

What are "Program Boosters" ? Wouldnt "training boosters" be a better word ?

While a nifty slogan for a page or two, "Always great prices at Tiny's!" seems to get pretty old when it is in every category page, especially when people can see the prices on the page and judge themselves how great they are.

You migth want to get some contribution so you can use the category name as header. It also helps with search engine ratings.

Breadcrumb: Top and Shop are the same, what's the point?

It looks like you removed the the pop under, smart move. One of my favorite subjects is traffic vs. targeted traffic, I was all geared up and didn't have to break it out :)

Personally, I don't like red, I leave red web sites as soon as I can. Maybe someone else can word this better, you might want to check in Google for the pages that tell you about color and how they affect site visitors. Red on white is particularly harsh.

Is the sign in button supposed to be blue when the create account button is red?

The header needs something...not sure what but, all of that red is a bit much.

Hi,

the custom icons for my account, cart and checkout are good however against the red it is a bit much and I find it difficult to spend a lot of time looking at the site, maybe a toned down red if you want red with other shades of red to take the harshness off the images.

Personal bugbear: Why the XE converter when osCommerce has a built in currency converter at a click?

drewman, check this one out: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/viewtopic.php...=23971&start=20

I used have used this on every page so the last breadcrumb, start of title and header are all same. Since all these are at the start of the page and high-ranked by Google I always get nice boost in google when it indexes my pages.

Problems in source code this should not be there (around line 572):

<!-- whats_new_eof //--><html>

<head>

<meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache">

<script language="JavaScript" src="https://www.thawte.com/html/certdetails.js" type="text/javascript">

           </script>

<script type="text/javascript">

//MFX_rFs

function MFXremoveFocus(){var d=document;var a=0;while(a<d.links.length){d.links[a].blur();++a}}document.onmouseup=MFXremoveFocus;

//MFX_rFe

</script>

</head>

<div align="center"><a href="#" onFocus="if(this.blur)this.blur()" onClick="openCertDetails();return false;"> <img name="thawteSiteSeal" src="https://siteseal.thawte.com/cgi/server/seal_generator.exe"

I am in the process of fixing the bugs that have been found. Could you be more specific with the page you are referring to and the code that should not be there. I am not sure what exactly is causing the search not to work in netscape only.

Thanks,

Drewman, there is something very wrong with HTML between these comments:

<!-- reviews_eof //-->

<!-- END Canada Post Area -->

There should be only 1 html, 1 body and 1 head tag for one page.

It seems to be on every page, so I would check includes/boxes and the file that brings the thawte-image to page.

And these are not an browser compatibility mistakes but clear coding mistakes that some browsers can handle (unfortunately), some not.

Thanks for the code review. I believe I have fixed the tag issues - Thanks. But unfortunetly this tag issue did not have any effect on the the search box problem in Netscape. I am still at a loss on this issue. Any ideas?

Personal bugbear: Why the XE converter when osCommerce has a built in currency converter at a click?

I am using the xe currency converter because my payment gateway only accepts canadian currency - When the cart passes a number to the gateway it is just a number with no currency value. If I allow people to alter the currency via the currency box it will pass the wrong amounts to the gateway. Am I wrong?
