NEED TO BE 18+ TO ENTER

Well guys, the shop has been on line for a few weeks, but only a few days ago did I start my advertisement campaign. I had about 300 visitors and only 2 sales so far. Does it take a few weeks of presence on line for people to start buying more agressively?

Please give me a feedback about how it looks, if you feel it is a decent design and choice of colors and if there are ways I can improve it, and please, if you are offended by the material, do not enter!!!

Thanks

Vladi

well

1> your in a competitve Market, so it will take longer for people to buy when there are soo many other Choices

2> yes it can take awhile, sometimes more than a few weeks

3>Personally I would tone down the use of Purple myself, but purplue is not my color :P

4> I would add most about the Packaging in the Privacy Section in addition to the Shipping section

5> I will also BOLD that

People are funny like that, they want it but they dont want the neighbors to know,

Me they can pull up with a Porn Truck and unload it all as far as i care, but most people are not like me thank god :P

Thanks guys for your comments! It does seem to be a competitive market. My prices though are rock buttom, so hopefully the porn-addicts will flock in a few weeks or so.

I checked out the buttons, and the default ones look better then the purple, a few people told me this.

Personally I'd re-design the whole store! It looks tacky!

--------------------------------------------------------

I think you need to put a lot more time into improving everything, the

graphics, the buttons, the design. Have big pictures in your popups

and forget about showing the back covers.

-------------------------------------------------------

Imagine you are a customer, would you buy from the store?

------------------------------------------------------

Sorry! but it still needs a lot of work.

Jeff.

Jeff1 thanks a lot for your harsh commentrary! I agree with you and some other people, there is too much purple in the design. I have changed that now to plain white background!

Also Jeff1, why do you think that backcover is not so important?

Please give me one THing to change which will make a big difference in the way it looks.

Again, thanks a lot and the more harsh (honest) you are, the better!

C'mon, Jeff, he's selling porno. It's supposed to look somewhat tacky. It's not supposed to look like he's selling the Wall Street Journal. People who buy porno movies like to be visually stimulated in a garish way. The style of his website suits the product.

greree, it is funny you mention this, but most traffic-pumping adult websites with most money to spend like (adultdvdempire.com and adultdvdexplorer.com) all look like they sell Wall Stree Journal, very proper and clean.

rseigel, like I said, boring and simple does not mean bad. There are simple websites with good products and good prices and there are websites with a lot of flash animation that are hard to navigate and distract the customer from shopping.

Would you like a tattoed-spewed fat body more than lean one with no tatoos?

As far as trying to get away from OSC Look, there is no reason. I am not competing with any OSC-Based XXX sites.

It's getting better! Still can't see the point of the back cover thing.

---------------------------------------------

If I were to change one thing it would be the Heading logo.

Try: http://www.xara.com/

Download their Xara 3d software, it's normally free for 30 days

and mess about with some their example graphics.

I am sorry, I did not understand what you are saying?! You can not see any text coming from Spain? That's wierd

Thanks

By the way, where the Spanish people buy XXX stuff from? USA, or they have their own stores, if you know

For example when I go to http://www.adultdvdrack.com/shop/default.php?cPath=67

I have a nice screen in the browser

Fatal error: Failed opening required 'includes/languages/espanol/header_tags.php' (include_path='') in /home/vladl999/public_html/shop/includes/header_tags.php on line 9

If you remove the language espanol from the admin side, when a spanish native potencial client, (I think a lot of "hispanos" people live and buy in US) see the page in english by default, but if you d'ont remove the languaje or adapt the language files the miss all the contents of your site

I have a comment.

Your store does not say "Powered By osCommerce"

which is mandatory if you want to post it and have it reviewed.

If you don't change it I'll have to delete the thread...

forum rules, read the sticky post in My Store.

Thanks,

Mattice

I would move the categories to first. Somehow I would consider that as a main navigation method people would take, so I would put it in prime real estate of the screen.

You do not have that much descriptions in product information. A list of acrtors would be nice, since majority would use that as a criteria for buying. You could then compile a page with all the actors/actress names with links to search results and use that as a alternative way of navigation.

Otherwise simple and clear interface for a web-site. Seems okay to me.

Matt- just added powered by oscommerce to every page in the cart.

Mazza, thanks for your suggestion, I did put categories on top!

By the way, I was thinking of making links to actor search results myself, but to me it appears to be a rather complicated database change where for each product I need to have a field for actors, and then it would pull actor's names one by one and link each one to a search query. Your idea seems much simpler. But how do you link actor names dynamically, even if you have a list of actors with search queries compiled in a seperate file. Please let me know.

Thanks
