and when did you last click through to a security and privacy policy when you bought an item? i dont think i ever have. I have however noticed many verisign logos or similar. Look, the point is that whether you think it makes a difference or not, its there to reinforce security, its instantly visible to your visitors, it demonstrates the presence of an SSL and in many cases states the fraud protection that goes with it.

 

I really dont understand reasons behind the argument. What are we talking here, a 150x150 image? on a web where the averagemonitor is now 1280x1024? is it really that big a deal to you to include it IF , just if, it may possible make a difference to your brand.
