deepee_oz
Hi All What is the best way to set up an Oscommerce site so as not to lose current links that have been indexed by the search engines? I currently use a hosted shopping cart solution which, I suspect, is based on Oscommerce. Their product development has stagnated and the service is awful, for the money we pay. It has a complex naming structure for categories and products that looks something like this: http://www.mysite.com/c/151689/1/some-sort-of-product.html I really don't want to lose the links if I can avoid it. I would be really grateful for any ideas. Thanks DP
spooks
It looks like there is some sort of seo for the urls, ULTIMATE Seo Urls 5 - by FWR Media http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/6768 will produce similar (but better) url, you could create a htaccess to redirect the old to the new, once you have it all set up.
