Changing to osCOMMERCE and Retaining Existing Links

Hi All

What is the best way to set up an Oscommerce site so as not to lose current links that have been indexed by the search engines?

I currently use a hosted shopping cart solution which, I suspect, is based on Oscommerce. Their product development has stagnated and the service is awful, for the money we pay.

It has a complex naming structure for categories and products that looks something like this: http://www.mysite.com/c/151689/1/some-sort-of-product.html

I really don't want to lose the links if I can avoid it.

I would be really grateful for any ideas.

Thanks

DP

It looks like there is some sort of seo for the urls, ULTIMATE Seo Urls 5 - by FWR Media http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/6768 will produce similar (but better) url, you could create a htaccess to redirect the old to the new, once you have it all set up.
