andy_1984
hi again, i have a new question. let me explain first i have a product with 3 different sizes 10, 12 , 16 inch pizzas i have these sizes set as an attribute for said product now i have a toppings attribute with different prices based on the size of pizza obviously i will need to create three diffrent toppings attributes with the differing prices but how to set this up based on the size attribute that the user selected. how can this be done apart from creating 3 different products of the same product ??? spooks
atributes can have a price addition (to base price) Sam Remember, What you think I ment may not be what I thought I ment when I said it. andy_1984
pizza sizes: 10" = £5.00 12" = £6.90 16" = £8.20 user selects 12" pizza attribute prices for toppings based on pizza size: 10" = £0.70 (pepperoni, extra cheese, sausage, chicken, etc) 12" = £0.90 (pepperoni, extra cheese, sausage, chicken, etc) 16" = £1.20 (pepperoni, extra cheese, sausage, chicken, etc) the user should not beable to select toppings for the 10" pizza because that would be cheating as they would get more toppings on a 12" pizza but are only paying for 10" toppings. ? burt
You need to make 1 attribute dependant on another - which is what I think you are asking. It's not easy and I've never seen it done in osCommerce.
andy_1984
you got it burt 2 attributes (attribute 1 & attribute 2) the contents of attribute 2 relates to what is selected in attribute 1 probably should have put it that way to begin with, i blame the pot of coffee sitting next to my desk ive been doing a bit of digging and found "master product" and "linked products" both of which are similar to what im after but at the same time seem to be more than what im after.
