In need of some help please.

Hi,

I am very new to all this so my question may seem daft. :wacko:

I have been having a few problems, i installed a contribution and now i can not view my website.

Does anyone know what this error message means:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function tep_href_link() in /home/******/public_html/includes/languages/english.php on line 327

I get it when i go to my website, i can not view anything.

Please please please someone help.

You need to specify something in the english.php maybe. Have a look through the contirbution notes to see if you missed something to do with that file.

I have been trying to sort out all my error problems since yesterday morning. I just have not got a clue.

Does anyone know what this error message means:

In that file, at the very bottom, there's a line that reads:

This is the code that defines the copyright footer on your site. On the pages in your store, the application_top.php file includes the language file into the page, for example, onto index.php. So when you try to open a page, it's including those definitions from the file called english.php and that last definition, that defines the html link, is failing. That function, the tep_href_link() function, is defined in includes/functions/html_output.php, and application_top.php also includes this function into the page for you. It is this function that isn't being found. The one that should get included in the file called html_output.php. Look in your application_top.php for code like this (around line 113, but your addons could have changed that):

Hi,

Thank you so so much for your help, i have been pulling my hair out over this.

I looked at the file like you said, and the require(DIR_WS_FUNCTIONS . 'html_output.php');

Was missing, I put that bit of code in, now i can view my website.

What i was trying to do before i got this error was make a new page with informaition on.

I have made a new box in my left column with a clickable banner inside, so when it is clicked on it takes them to my new information page, only i do not know how to add the new page.

I was trying to add the contributions FCKeditor_1.2 and Extra pages-info box w-admin 4.6.1 , i must have been doing it all wrong, thats why i was getting so many errors.

Could you suggest an easier way to add new pages.
