Another Can't login to admin post

Hi Guys

It doesn't matter what I do, I can't get into my test site admin page. It's a new install in a new folder on my live server for testing.

I have installed from my hosts control panel, I got into catalog but not admin. I got the login box, put the pass and user in and nothing. The page refreshed and I saw a "firefox remember password" prompt then disappeared but the login box was still there.

I've searched, added secure admin contrib, tried Fimbles reset contrib, deleted and recreated the administrator table, found a post where admin and a string similar to an osc sid so user and pass is admin. I've backed up my live site and restored to database and still no luck, even tho I can get into the live admin. I've even installed locally,

Please, please help, I can't think of anything else

Cheers

Ian

If you do a view source in your browser does the url in this line:

<form name="login" action="http://yoursite.com/catalog_directory/admin/login.php?action=process" method="post">

conform to the url you see in your browser bar (notice the http versus https for example). Might be a wrong setting in your admin/includes/configure.php?

Hi Jan

Thanks for the quick reply. I was getting annoyed so I left it. In the end, I copied my live site to my live test folder, ran the backup SQL from phpmyadmin, altered the config files and all is OK and working. :lol:

Going to get some baclog testing done now

Cheers

Ian
