You still have to set it up for oscommerce though. Jack Went to https://mydomainame.com and it loads now and the ceritificate is installed but if i click on dont show non secure items it doesnt show me any image and the oscommerce products listing. whats the next step ? i will follow the instructions above but is there anything else i need to do to view all images and product listings in original format. the entire formatting of the page seems to be lost. did i lose my stylesheet and sts template and thats what causing the problem. please do let me know. amitxox Posted February 18, 2009 Author Share Posted February 18, 2009 Read this thanks germ i will try all that. i have a question when i do the osc suggested changes in the configure.php file will that automatically change all the http to https for the create account, shopping cart pages and will my customers get that missing content or non secure items message. basically how do people get redirected to https pages because if i do that they might not be able to check out right now with all the missing content and images. its confusing for someone who does not know how this stuff works. is there a step by step way of doing this ? i dont want to implement the security and get people redirected to all these pages if the content is not displaying properly. let me know. thanks amit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
germ Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 When you set up SSL all the pages that need to be secure will be (login, create/edit account, and all pages thru checkout to name a few). Until you get things "nailed down" (so it all works like it's supposed to), you'll still get the "unsecure content" message. I hope that answers your question.
