what's the Default.php file

The early versions of oscommerce used default.php instead of index.php. That contribution hasn't been updated since 2004 so it is referring to the old versions. It will probably also tell you to add filename changes to the application_top file which, while not incorrect, is not how the later versions of oscommerce are set up so such instructions can cause confusion.
