Are you talking about using Ultimate SEO 2-2.2d-7? How hard is it to update from the 2.1d that I have to that one? Do I have to completely uninstall the one I have first and then install that one or is there an easier way to do it?

Yes, that is the one. I don't know how hard it is since I haven't used 2.1d in years but they should be about the same. Just follow the instructions and there shouldn't be a problem. They won't match exactly, of course, since your html_output.php file will have different code than in the contribution but that doesn't matter since you are replacing that whole block of code. Just be sure you perform all of the steps in the instructions. The code may look the same but it isn't so taking short-cuts will cause problems. Please ask any other questions relating to this in the support thread for that contribution.

Hello

I just tried installing - used phpmyadmin interface, 30 lines, success.

Uploaded all new files. Tripple checked, they ARE THERE.

Did the manual file editing, and now getting this error:

Warning: require(includes/languages/danish/FILENAME_SITEMAP_SEO): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/dktool/dktool.dk/katalog/index.php on line 311 Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required 'includes/languages/danish/FILENAME_SITEMAP_SEO' (include_path='.:/hsphere/shared/apache/libexec/php5ext/php/') in /hsphere/local/home/dktool/dktool.dk/katalog/index.php on line 311

Also when logging into the admin interface, logging in works, but every link into the site "Configuration, Modules" etc. all give error 404.

Any ideas?

Line 311: require(DIR_WS_LANGUAGES . $language . '/' . FILENAME_SITEMAP_SEO);

Capital letters in an error means you missed a step in the installation procedure.

:'( Hello Everyone, Im going to sound stupid here but Im new to this. I hope posting a reply for help with Sitemap SEO is what I should be doing instead of starting a new topic :blink:

I just installed Sitemap SEO v 1.2 and had some issues I really need HELP on. I couldnt find the right answer when i searched this forum.

I followed the instruction and when I go to my admin panel, I have SITEMAP SEO option to click on. I click on it and it pulls up the following.

404 - Not Found

The page you are trying to access does not exist.

If this error persists, please contact the website webmaster.

HERE IS THE LINK FOR THE ERROR 404 error

I went into the hosting account and made sure all the permissions where correct and they are.

I might be wrong, but the instructions doesn't say where to upload "catalog_only_new_files" so I uploaded those files to my root directory.

Are they loaded in the wrong place? If im reading correct I should have option or an admin panel box to edit my site map in my stores admin panel correct? But like I said it pulls an external webpage with a 404 error code????

PLEASE if anyone can help me or point me in the right direction it would be highly appreciated. I can give the login to my hosting account if someone would like to take a peak or my stores admin login to look at what im talking about.

Im trying to get the store finished so i can launch the webstore for my company.

My Store's link TreeHuggersOnline

THANKS EVERYONE

The error tells you the file is not there. I think you have copyed the new files wrong.

The folder catalog_only_new_files is not to be copyed only the files inside and you should easyly se that is correct. Inside this folder you se the same structure as you would in your shop.

You are getting the error because the file named sitemap_seo_page_control.php cannot be found. If you look in the admin directory of your site and don't see the file there, then you need to upload it.

Copied the entire set of files into the DKtool.dk/katalog folder, and the admin pages work now - turns out there was a missing define table 'administrator' line in the original database_tables.php and filenames.php in /admin.

The file copy also changed the error message on the site into: (no more capital letters). I wonder if the missing define table is also missing from the db?

Also in the admin interface, Sitemap SEO gives the following error:

Warning: require(includes/languages/danish/sitemap.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /hsphere/local/home/dktool/dktool.dk/katalog/admin/sitemap_seo_page_control.php on line 16 Fatal error: require(): Failed opening required 'includes/languages/danish/sitemap.php' (include_path='.:/hsphere/shared/apache/libexec/php5ext/php/') in /hsphere/local/home/dktool/dktool.dk/katalog/admin/sitemap_seo_page_control.php on line 16

The contribution only comes setup for English. If you have another language installed, you have to copy the sitemap.php file in the includes/languages/english/ directory to the other directory of the other language. You also have to make any changes mentioned in the install instructions for english to the other other language file.

Hi,

Sorry if this is a lame question, and i have read through this thread and either missed any potential similar questions or it hasnt been asked.

How do i add new pages?, i have lots of my own pages i have created, which all are defined in filenames.php and are picked up in headertags contrib without issue, but seo sitemap does not pick them up and does not list them when viewing sitemap.php, they are not boxes (which incidentally do get picked up if i create new boxs)

I reviewed all the files again and discovered one was missing. After adding it, I have a new error message.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare addmissingboxes() (previously declared in /home/ctsmith/public_html/cart/admin/includes/functions/sitemap.php:15) in /home/ctsmith/public_html/cart/admin/includes/languages/english/sitemap.php on line 40

After finding some time, I finally managed to get this installed and working. A little tricky for a newbie but perseverance pays off. Thanks for the help.

There is one small issue still outstanding with my install.

It looks like the file catalog/index.php line 305

<td class="smallText"><a href="javascript:displaySitemapCategory();" class="smallText"><span style="vertical-align:text-bottom; "><img src="images/sitemap_arrow.jpg" alt="" border="0"></span><span style="padding-left: 3px;"><?php echo TEXT_SITEMAP_RELATED_CATEGORIES; ?></span></a></td>

</tr>

It produces the graphic "arrow" and 'TEXT_SITEMAP_RELATED_CATEGORIES' at the bottom of each page.

Is there something wrong or is the the way it is supposed to behave?

When capital letters are seen, like TEXT_SITEMAP_RELATED_CATEGORIES, it means there is a mistake in the installation since that indicates there is a missing definition. Search the instructions for that text to locate the problem.

Unfortunately the instructions don't mention anything about troubleshooting the issue. I'll just have to put up with the text and hopefully discover why in the future. There is nothing to indicate that the index.php file is looking for something and "here is the problem".

Be sure you have this file on your server: includes/languages/english/sitemap.php

I have discovered that there are several different files, all named "sitemap.php" and they are not interchangeable.

In looking at the page source, it seems that "sitemap_seo.js" is where the issue is.

It produces 2 lines of text: 'Related Products', and 'Related Categories' at the bottom of each catalog page.

At least it is normal text, not ALL CAPS.

It appears to be a link, but leads nowhere on clicking it.

I'll keep looking....
